Had a blast taking some pictures of my uncle and other combatants at a local SCA event. The SCA, as described by their website (http://www.sca.org) is "...an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.”
What does that mean? It mean's opening a can medieval style! I'll post a few highlight photos here, but members of the SCA requested that I upload all of my photos to facebook. There are about 1400 pictures in 7 different albums. I've made the albums public so feel free to go look at them and tag anyone you recognize. Links to the albums posted below the pictures.

Rocksmith 2011
Local classic rock band "ROCKSMITH" performing at Zushi Bistro in Mesa. Great sushi, great music. Notice Freddy ripping up a 70's era Gibson Ripper bass guitar. That sounded amazing. Check them out on Facebook for show dates and times.

Small Leaks Sink Ships
A few photos from the CD release party of local band Small Leaks Sink Ships. London, the drummer, is playing a TJS drum set (see post below). Sadly I only caught the last set, but these guys are amazing musicians and performers. Look them up on Facebook or go to http://www.smallleaks.com.
